The Mariachi Campaign: Postcard #6

SMELL THE POSTCARD, TRUST THE POSTCARD

It seems like just yesterday that Fitehouse dropped the Bomb that helped annihilate the recording industry as we know it. But in the vacuum created by the explosion, a new musical reality is already emerging and our Mariachi heroes have been at the forefront of that change.

Inspired by advances in the Open source movement and motivated by the Open cultural exchange that existed through most of human history (prior to such folly as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act), Fitehouse sought to come to the defense of the vibrancy of our musical heritage. With the Bomb, the band introduced the Fitehouse General Public Music License, which allowed groups to make all their material (including the raw tracks) available for other artists to share and transform. And now Fitehouse is cranking up the propaganda machinery to convince the public-at-large that when it comes to culture, Open is in fact better!

In expanding the musical horizons, the band proudly announces the release of its new CD entitled “Open” and its single “Meridian” released under the Fitehouse GPML. We invite you to complete the journey with the Fitehouse Corp of Musical Discovery. You will soon be receiving a copy of “Open” for your review and enjoyment!
